This website describes the data sources and processing to get the results presented in Starck, Fardet, and Esculier (2024) (for nitrogen) and Starck, Fardet, and Esculier (2023) (for phosphorus) and chapter 4 of Starck (2024). The results here go beyond what is presented in the articles.
This project assesses the nutrient flows in the French sanitation system. Multiple sources are used: wastewater treatment plant data from water agencies, industry discharge, food intakes surveys…
In WWTP flows preparation and Other flows preparation, we present, clean and normalize the data related to wastewater treatment plants and the other flows (industry, food ingestion / excretion, sludge composition…).
In Results, we show our main results: nutrients flows in wastewater treatment plants, nitrogen and phosphorus nutrient flow analysis in the whole sanitation system, and the main figures used in our articles.
The source data, output data, and code to generate it is accessible on this github repository, which produced this website. It is also stored on a permanent repository on zenodo at https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.7990172.
